I created my cloudlfare account a while ago, with an email address, and when i logged for the first time on Cloudflare Community, that email account was automatically used as the Cloudflare Community email.
I diced to change both email and, even if I successfully changed my cloudlfare account email address, I fail to find how to change my cloudflare community email address.
Whenever I visit my Cloudflare community preferences - account, I see my previous email with written under in green, primary, then a “Email can be updated from authentication provider. Never shown to the public.” notice.
Is it possible to change that Cloudflare Community email ?
Can you create an account ticket? I suspect it is just a matter of removing the existing community account and letting you recreate it, but lets see what support says on a ticket.
(Cf employee here, passing through on a test account)
Thank you for your responses. I also thought that the email would be updated after I connected to the community forum for the first time, after I changed the email on cloudflare account, but it wasn’t.
I unintentionally found the solution while testing a website. I cleared my Chrome cache, and when I signed back in to the Cloudflare account page and opened the community Cloudflare page, I received a notification that a new account had been created on the community pages, and I saw that the new email was being used.
If I had not manually cleared my Chrome history/cache, the situation would not have been resolved.
No, there is no automated way as our sso does not pass that change from dash to your community account. We can manually do essentially what you did behind the scenes.
Question, did you use the same username for the new account or is there another account with activity that I should merge into the account you are using here?
