Is it normal for the site to become slower when connected to cloudflare?

Hi,

I currently have a website hosted in singapore and visitors mainly come frome asia.
However, the contents seem to load faster when not connected to Cloudflare instead than being connected to Cloudflare.
I also noticed that the maximum speed that the website could reach is around < 200 KB/s when you clear cache locally (all images / static contents are served through cloudfare) while being disconnected to Cloudflare reaches speeds of up to 800 KB/s in 1-3 sec.

Thank you, hope you could provide insights.

And the ping of the website is around 260 ms when pingged locally.

I have found the issue. I contacted Cloudflare and it seems like I’m being connected to France Data center while I’m accessing from asia. Hope things will get fixed.
