Is CloudFlare right for my business?

Hello Everyone,

This is my first post. I apologize in advance if something done not right.

I’m planning to start a business where a portion of it demands web hosting. I’m planning to host the apps on a dedicated server. I’m interested in CF to improve global performance and overall security. I’d like to take advantage of Anycast DNS, CDN, WAF for the websites of my customers.

There is a Partner program, so I’d assume this is a pretty commonly known use case.
These are my questions:

  1. Is it possible to use Cloudflare completely free of charge (for a multi-tenant business)? I’m interested to know at what point I have to start to pay for Cloudflare.
  2. Is it possible to use Cloudflare API to add domains (free plans) for a non-partner?
  3. Is it possible to start without being an official partner? As I understand there are costs involved to partake in the Partner program. I’d like to start small and grow, rather making expenses ahead.

Any additional advice is utmost welcome. I’m looking forward to hearing from you guys. Thanks.

Yep. You pay if you need things on the paid plan. Obviously, sales may contact you if you use an excessive amount of like bandwidth for free and that number isn’t defined but it’s like very very high.
