Is Cloudflare APO Compatibile With Dynamic Membership Site?

I have a Wordpress site that included membership/LMS features. I use plugins like LearnDash and BuddyPress on my site.

Is Cloudflare APO compatible with such a dynamic site, or is it only designed for static websites? I am concerned that Full Page Caching will not be beneficial in this case?

Yes, Cloudflare APO is compatible with dynamic WordPress sites using LearnDash and BuddyPress. APO considers the cacheability of dynamic content and should not interfere with your membership/LMS features. Although it’s designed to improve performance mainly for static content, APO can still be beneficial for your site.

Another question altogether is how big of a difference will APO make, since the benefit in a mostly dynamic site tends to be marginal. But since even marginal speed gains matter, you should consider trying it out.

Only you can attest to the benefits of APO to your website. Even if other users may have LMS and caching plugins similar to yours, their config may vary widely as to what amount of free course (no login required) is offered, among other things.

If you are on a Cloudflare paid plan, APO is included. On a Free Plan, I believe there’s an option to try it for a month. While trying it, monitor for speed improvement, then decide whether you’d want to commit to APO in the long run.
