IP4 acess rules not working

Answer these questions to help the Community help you with Security questions.

For our development site, we have implemented IP restrictions.

Under Security > IP Access Rules I enter my IP4 address and allow. We are blocked from access.

On entering my IP6 address, we are granted access to the site.

Does anyone know why this may be?

If your connection is both IPv4 and IPv6, your browser will pick one, preferring IPv6, and use that for the connection. I would allowlist both
