IP Address query refused when I nslookup on daniella.ns.cloudflare.com

Last week husumchicken-2700.dk was set up as a site in cloudflare:

However the nameservers specified do not respond to nslookup, the following lookup gives me query refused

nslookup husumchicken-2700.dk daniella.ns.cloudflare.com
Server:  daniella.ns.cloudflare.com
Address:  162.159.38.228

*** daniella.ns.cloudflare.com can't find husumchicken-2700.dk: Query refused

The same nslookup for 7moellensgril-koege.dk which has the same set up returns the addresses correctly as I would expect.

Has anyone got any tips on how I can troubleshoot this?

The husumchicken domain is not using Cloudflare DNS.

Hi @sdayman, thanks for getting back to me. I need to switch to Cloudflare DNS however I can’t change the nameservers to Cloudflares nameservers until the nameservers have the zone record for the husumchicken-2700.dk domain and this has been confirmed using the PRE-DELEGATED DOMAIN check on https://zonemaster.dk-hostmaster.dk/ , this is a requirement from the registrar.

I was using nslookup to check this and it was coming back with “Query refused” for this domain, whereas another domain set up in Cloudflare was returning addresses correctly.

There are frequent problems with .dk domains moving to Cloudflare because of this. You may have to get assistance from Support:

Login to Cloudflare and then contact Cloudflare Support by clicking on the Get More Help button.
