Installing Cloudflare SSL is giving Error 521 Server Down

I am trying to install a free SSL certificate on my website via Cloudflare. However, when I activate the “full” option, I am unable to access my website as it gives Error 521 server down.

Seems like my server is rejecting https requests as I get “server refused to connect” when I try to telnet via CMD or access https://ip.add.re.ss:443 via browser.

I have opened the firewall for both http and https traffic. Not sure what else to do at this point.

“Refused to connect” would suggest it is not a firewall issue but rather a service issue. Are you sure your software is listening on port 443?
