When you purchase a domain from NameCheap, they allow you to redirect 150 subdomains to other URLs. That’s 150 redirects for each domain. For no additional cost.
On Cloudflare’s Free plan, I’m limited to 10 single redirects and 20 bulk redirects. On the Pro plan, I get 25 single redirects and 500 bulk redirects.
To replicate NameCheap’s subdomain redirect feature, I’d have to upgrade to the Pro plan and pay $240/year. Even then, it would only work for ~3 domains because bulk redirects are account-level. I’d hit the 500 bulk redirect limit on the 4th domain.
It would be nice if Cloudflare greatly increased the number of single redirects for each domain on the Free plan or at a price much lower than $240/year.
