Please help me figure it out. I need to add a cname with a dot at the end but after saving the dot disappears and the host where the site is hosted writes Incorrect DNS configuration.
That’s not a problem.
The dot is added internally in Cloudflare’s systems. Even if you don’t add it, Cloudflare adds it automatically in their system… as that’s part of the technical standard. It’s just not exposed in the user interface to simplify things for users.
If you’re being told you have an “incorrect DNS configuration” it’s something else, and not the absence of the dot in your Cloudflare dashboard.
Please provide some more details of the actual CNAME you’re setting up, so we can look into this for you.
