Incorrect A record answers from authorative CF NS set in registrar, not matching records shown in CF

As per the topic line,

Domain has had NS records set to CF, pointing to a host and propagation has taken place. Everything was working well until an “A record for domain.tld IP” was replaced with an “A record for @ IP” as required by the host (GoDaddy).

Now CF NS are answering with two different IP’s which are not shown in DNS configuration for the website in CF interface? Am I missing anything? I am unsure how to get the NS to answer with correct IP. It is possibly something I overlooked being new to CF, I would appreciate any direction to help me research further what the root cause is.
