Inconsistent Error: ERR SSL VERSION OR CIPHER MISMATCH

Hello my site thechelsealaboratory.com is throwing this error message “ERR_SSL_VERSION_OR_CIPHER_MISMATCH” when I try to connect to it on Google Chrome.

Edge/Firefox works fine. Google Chrome works sometimes. When I try a VPN I can connect fine no error.

My colleagues have tried from another IP address and they have similar experiences.

When I try on my mobile Chrome works sometimes and Firefox works 100% of the time.

My hosting provider is looking into this and trying to figure out what is causing this issue does anyone have any ideas what it could be?

I suspect that was related to Increased Reports of ERR_SSL_VERSION_OR_CIPHER_MISMATCH. Let us know if it’s cleared up for you.

Yeah currently looking all good, is there anything I can do in future to mitigate this happening again or was this for the most part a malfunction on Cloudflare’s end?

Normally, following the quickfix ideas in the ERR_SSL_VERSION_OR_CIPHER_MISMATCH CommunityTip will resolve the issue. You can also follow :bell: the Cloudflare Status category for updates on network issues. That channel has a lot of noise as it’s posting details on routtine maintenance, but it’s a good one to check first if issues come up.

The other next best thing to do is post or :search: by error number or message to find links to CommunityTip & Tutorial that can help self-remediate any issues.
