In order to create a subdomain (Page Rule) redirect, what DNS record should I use?

I use Cloudflare as my nameserver.

I want to direct subdomain.domain.com to subdomain.example.com.

I have added the Page Rule, but obviously, without a DNS record for my subdomain, the browser won’t contact Cloudflare.

So in my DNS records, I should probably create the subdomain record; subdomain,domain,com - but what should I point it to?
