Hi Community,
Within the next several days, you might see changes in some of your alerts. Here’s what we’re updating:
-
Passive Origin Monitoring
If you haven’t noticed already, you may start receiving more emails regarding 521 errors from our Passive Origin Monitoring alerts. We’ve made some updates to this alert to give more accurate notifications. These may fire if your zone has low traffic and receives even a small number of 521 errors (e.g. from automated scans). We’re in the process of configuring these alerts to ensure that they are most helpful to you. Stay tuned for a more thorough blog post explaining these changes. -
Security Events
We’re also updating our Security Events alert so that the mean time to detection is now five minutes, instead of two hours, which means you’ll be notified of spikes even sooner. Please refer to the public documentation for more information. -
Advanced HTTP Alerts
These alerts have been updated to more accurately reflect your filtered zone traffic as seen in the Traffic Analytics view in the dash. Previously, Advanced HTTP Alerts had some default and implicit edge/origin status code filters that may have been applied to your alert configuration, resulting in a difference between received alerts and the analytics dashboard.
Note: some of these alerts require upgraded plans.
Thank you!
