Implementing a 301 redirect locally or from Cloudflare?

Hi there

I am 301 redirecting a “Google Indexed” domain for SEO reasons.

I would like to know which option should be used of if this does not make any difference

301 redirecting the domain locally eg (htaccess file or wordpress plugin)
or
Using the Cloudflare redirect rule.

Which method would be best in order to keep the redirected domain “Search Engine Indexed” ?

.htaccess, plugin or Cloudflare… it does not make any difference as far as SEO goes.

Cloudflare redirects have the benefit of relieving your servers from the task, but that’s about it.

Do both. There is no harm in doing both methods. If one fails, there is another option.
