Images are not being cached

I am using the WordPress LiteSpeed Cache plugin to convert images into webp format. THis changes the default WordPress Image URL to something like this:

https: //www. mydomain .com/wp-content/uploads/2021/01/ imagename.png
https: //www. mydomain .com/wp-content/uploads/2021/01/ imagename.jpg
https: //www. mydomain .com/wp-content/uploads/2021/01/ imagename.gif

https: //www. mydomain .com/wp-content/uploads/2021/01/ imagename.png.webp
https: //www. mydomain .com/wp-content/uploads/2021/01/ imagename.jpg.webp
https: //www. mydomain .com/wp-content/uploads/2021/01/ imagename.gif.webp

Because of this change, Cloudflare is not caching the images. Requesting your support to fix this issue.

Without the actual URL, no one can actually help you to fix the issue. Also, webp should be cached by default, so it’s interesting to see that yours is not working - could be affected by cache-control header.

It seems you didn’t understand! Okay, for your easiness I am attaching GTM report >

You can see the images are loaded from the actual URL only.

Run the test for second time and you will see that the cache status is now HIT. Because during the first test, the cache is not yet populated.

No. I totally understand your question, but it’s definitely difficult for the community to help you if there’s no actual URL that allows us to dig into with. Now, since you gave us your GTmetrix result, so we are able to further investigate and give suggestions.

If you check this GTmetrix result, you will see all webp images are now HIT.

https: //www. onlinehomeincome .in /wp-content/uploads/*.png*

Does the above page rule satisfy my requirement?

https: //www. onlinehomeincome .in/wp-content/uploads/2021/01/ imageone.png.webp
https: //www. onlinehomeincome .in/wp-content/uploads/2020/06/ imagetwo.png.webp
https: //www. onlinehomeincome .in/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/ imagethree.png.webp
https: //www. onlinehomeincome .in/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/ imagefour.png.webp

It’s confusing. I ran the test nearly 4 - 5 times in Mumbai Location but I am seeing the cache result as “MISS”.

Can you please assist in this?
