Image hotlink prevents image load though it is off

What is the name of the domain?

What is the error message?

This image is hotlinked

What is the issue you’re encountering

Image load is blocked after transfer from subdomain to top domain

What steps have you taken to resolve the issue?

I transferred subdomain to top level domain and site loads.
I have searched and replaced database for sub and replaced with top.
Cloudflare is registrar and CDN now active.
Turnstile also activated.
Cpanel Hotlinking is off
Cloudflare hotlinking is off
There is nothing in .htaccess activating hotlink prevension (This is a multisite and no other site has had this behaviour)
I have checked error log for anything causing this.
I have regenerated images and I also tested a re-upload of some images.
I have checked if images are there and they are.
I have checked permission for folders 744 and files 655 as I remember, but they are as adviced by Wordpress.

What are the steps to reproduce the issue?

I cannot tell. I have 2 other sites with same config and they have never done this.

Might be CORS if Hotlink is okay :thinking:

I am not familiar with this “Stop! This image was hotlinked” image since before while using Cloudflare’s Image Hotlink protection feature being enabled.

Wonder if the image’s are cached with this, therefrom you could give it a try to manually Purge Everything at Cloudflare as follows:

Either lazy-loading with some WordPress plugin or origin Litespeed cache.

I have purged over and over, both cloudflare, litespeed and browser. Cache is not the issue

Maybe using Plesk panel, or WP Toolkit, or cPanel Hotlink feature?

You can temporary Pause Cloudflare to double-check:

  • Use the “Pause Cloudflare on Site” option from the Overview tab for your domain at dash.cloudflare.com .
  • The link is in the lower right corner of that page.
