I am calling a WordPress REST API hosted on WP Engine from a web application on Azure. My calls are intercepted by a captcha form. I am not sure if this captcha is being introduced by Cloudflare or WP Engine’s Cloudflare instance.

What steps have you taken to resolve the issue?

allowlisted the IP addresses by creating a custom rule to bypass all rules for the outbound IP address list Azure is using for the calling application. Configured the subdomain for DNS Only.

Was the site working with SSL prior to adding it to Cloudflare?

Is it something Cloudflare-branded, like below?

If not, then you ought to look elsewhere, as that won’t be coming from Cloudflare.
