iCloud+ Domain Connect Failing (Error 404)

What is the issue you’re encountering

Cannot finish verification.

What steps have you taken to resolve the issue?

Trying to add the records manually, but iCloud wont check them automatically, all I can do is to press “Verify” again from the iCloud website, but it doesn’t work, always getting the 404 error.

Any ideas? I’m going crazy. And Apple support doesnt even know what they are doing (one literally asked me to “restart” my iPhone, when I was using a Mac).
