Hello does anybody have a clear directions of moving from Dreamhost to Cloudflare. I only have 14 days and read that it needs 15 days? Is this important? I normally leave things to the last minute… It’s all very confusing. Help would be appreciate whilst I have 1 hair left

What are you moving?

If the domain registration, then your site must be active on Cloudflare first (you haven’t given the domain so can’t check). Domain transfers take 5-7 days usually so there is time.

If the hosting, then note that Cloudflare is not a web host (other than Cloudflare Pages which is not the same as traditional hosting and requires some technical skills to be able to use) so you will likely still need to host somewhere if not Dreamhost.

If you just want to add Cloudflare to your site, then that can be done any time.

Sorry I am a real rookie. I want to move my domain from Dreamhost to Cloudflare. Although a bit confused why Dreamhost seem to cost $20 and it’s free here? I use Squarespace for my website.

Domain registration is not free with Cloudflare, although it is done at the wholesale cost so is cheaper.

Adding your domain to Cloudflare to use Cloudflare features is free, but that’s not to be confused with the domain registration. Note that domain registration requires use of Cloudflare nameservers.

You need to add your site to Cloudflare first. Once the domain is active on Cloudflare you can transfer the domain registration to Cloudflare if it is one of the TLDs that Cloudflare supports…
