I need to update your nameservers

Hi.
I need to update my nameservers, the instruction from Help Center are not helpful, I don’t understand how to do this. Could somebody explain clearly what the steps are?
Thank you

You need to go to your domai name registrar – the company you purchased your domain name from – to update the nameservers.

If you don’t know this, please provide your doman name so we can send you in the right direction.

Hi.
Thank you for the answer, I bought it here on cloudflare and seem to go in rounds as don’t understand how to do this

Firstly, you cannot change the nameservers of a Cloudflare Registrar domain. A notice to this effect was clearly displayed at the time you were registering/transferring the domain.

Secondly, you absolutely don’t need to change your domain’s nameservers to point it to an external hosting provider or some other 3rd-party service. All you have to do is map the appropriate DNS records to the external provider.

I’ve provided the general how-to guide below. But you’re going to need some info from the external service you’re trying to point your domain to. So if you can explain what you were trying to accomplish by changing the nameservers, I can give you specific instructions to achieve the same result with DNS records.

That’s the message I see on Bluehost, I cannot point my domain

Have you clicked Advanced Options?

I am not understanding what I am doing, I was following instructions on my course and then something went wrong, this part is not covered in the course

You are probably going to need to ask Bluehost how to obtain your site IP and activate it using external nameservers. I searched their help files and only found instructions on using their nameservers. If that is indeed a requirement, it is a relatively new one. If it is a requirement, you will not be able to use Cloudflare.
