I’m currently hosted with Dreamhost. They are my registrar as well. I am on Cloudflare’s free plan. Dreamhost and CLoudflare had an arrangement where my Cloudflare was in part configured through Dreamhost managed hosting. Cloudflare has doscontinued this, so I need to manually setup my DNS records. I need the value for Cloudflares NS so I can begin the switch at my host, but I can’t find those values. I THINK, all I need is the values.
Thanks
What feature, service or problem is this related to?
When you use Cloudflare via a partner (we call it a partial setup), your DNS records are controlled at the partner. You don’t need to change your nameservers. None are assigned as the DNS records are at your dreamhost account.
With that being said, you can add the site to your cloudflare account and ask dreamhost to change your nameservers to the two assigned by cloudflare. We call that a full setup.
So, my site already exists in my Cloudflare account. As you mentioned, as a partial setup. Attempting to add my domain, Cloudflare just tells me it already exists.
So, I can turn Cloudflare off at my host, and I assume it will no longer exist on CLoudflare and I can then add it. But, then I will lose my configurations in Cloudflare? Is there some way I can export my current configuration, then apply it to the site once it has been added?
