I need to delete the nameserver with Cloudflare and point them to hostgator

Mt site is pointed to Cloudflare but I need to change that to Hostgator. How can I do that?

  1. Obtain the nameservers from Hostgator. You can usually find this information in your Hostgator control panel or by contacting their customer support.
  2. Next, log into your domain registrar where you bought your domain.
  3. Find the section for managing DNS or nameservers for your domain.
  4. Replace (remove) the current Cloudflare nameservers with the Hostgator nameservers you obtained in step 1.
  5. Save your changes

Thank you, I was told that I have to have permission from Cloudflare to do that. I do not think that is correct.

No, you do not need approval for that, it’s your domain.

This is a good guide to review for the details

An important part of the doc but one that is easily overlook is the part about if you have any active subscriptions, make sure to cancel those. Let us know if you encounter any issues.
