I have inputted the wrong information in the A line and it won't let me delete it

What is the name of the domain?

www.nativeenglishlessons.online

What is the error number?

404

What is the issue you’re encountering

I have inputted the wrong information in the A line and it won’t let me delete it. Any ideas?

What steps have you taken to resolve the issue?

I tried to delete many times and re-input. No joy. If I had known I couldn’t contact help about this I never would have bought a domain here! I am atotal newbie and really need some help please

What are the steps to reproduce the issue?

Typs in web address and it links to a white page that says ok

If you go here, https://dash.cloudflare.com/?to=/:account/:zone/dns/records, and click edit on the DNS A record, what happens?

Can you attach a screenshot if it does not work?

Hi there. Thank you for replying.
I try to input the correct @ but as it saves a shows an error message saying the record already exists. If I delete the record first it will save but it goes back to the previous form showing the website name where the @ should be.
Warm regards

That is always going to happen. It is the expected behavior. @ is a way of referencing your apex domain and will be shown as that name once the record is saved.

When I try to search for my domain it shows up as a white page with the letters OK! on it. I was trying to link it to another website. Is there any way that I can fix this?

Probably. Can you offer any more details?

  • What change your are you making?
  • Are you following any guide?
  • Can you share a link to the guide?
  • Is the site you want to access already working?

I purchased a domain on Cloudflare and then tried to link it up to Tony Robbins mastermind. They provided a video showing how to do it and it was only pressing a couple of buttons where everything should have been automatic. There was also a short video that has now disappeared that showed people filling out information in the A line I am unsure whether or not I filled it in correctly as I input the domain name and not only @. My domain used to go to an error address 404 with the message not found and now it goes to a white page with OK! written on it. Sadly I was not given directions to follow. I have never tried to do anything like this before. The guy at the mastermind support told me that I should have put only @ into the name column and that is what caused the problem but unfortunately I am totally new to this don’t know enough to know what I have done wrong, if anything. I really don’t know if that helps or not. Sadly, I suspect not! I’m sorry that I can’t be more specific…

Here are some of the messages the support team sent yesterday. Their website is opens as normal but I’m not sure if anyone else can access it as you would need to register to gain access. Is there anyway to reset the original

settings as they were when I bought the domain. Would that help?

According to the support chat you shared, you have yet to build your website on their platform. You will need to do that before you can expect any content to appear.

Bizarrely, I went back to the Mastermind website and deleted everything I had done until now. I repeated all the steps and this time it worked but I Have no idea why? Thank you very much for trying to help. I really appreciate it!
