try to access 'https://thelatchkkeykid.co.uk

You will need to obtain the relevant DNS record(s) (typically such as AAAA, A or CNAME) from your hosting provider.

DNS records can be added/modified/deleted over here:

https://dash.cloudflare.com/?to=/:account/:zone/dns/records

When you say you received a message to update your nameservers, did you already use Cloudflare before that? Did you do anything that would cause such a message to be sent to you?

Otherwise, it might be that someone else added your domain to their account and caused that message to be sent, because I can see that your domain is still added to the same account with the same old nameservers.

If you continue to use the same account as before, I would recommend that you urgently switch your nameservers back to Ariadne and Bob.

Hi Laudian,

Thanks for helping and also, nice cat.

I received an email from [email protected] to say that I need to update my dns names.

I deleted all the A AAAA cnames etc and have no idea what they should be.

I have taken your advice and asked for the names to be changed back, so I’ve gotta wait 48hrs now.

I only use that site for homeassistant, so it isn’t hosted as such, but I haven’t changed anything, except that

my synology nas updated.

Thanks for the help, but I don’t have a host provider, I bought the domain from Tucows and Seekahost manage it for me. I only use it for homeassistant, so it isn’t hosted as such….

Can you check whether this email was 100% sent to the same address that you use to login to Cloudflare?

Yes it was

I’ll be honest, that is very surprising to me.

What nameservers does it tell you to use on your DNS records page? https://dash.cloudflare.com/?to=/:account/:zone/dns/records

That’s copy and pasted from that page:

Every DNS zone on Cloudflare is assigned a set of Cloudflare-branded nameservers.

Your message does not include the nameservers you were assigned. It might be that the links have automatically been removed from the email.

Please try to use the preformatted text option (ctrl+e) when you answer on the forum instead of via email.

I changed the dns back and my site is back up again. Cloudflare is still telling me to update my nameservers to aiden and ingrid and saying that my site isno longer active on cloudflare

You likely have the same zone in two organizations…. Confirmed here:

Manage the DNS from the appropriate org and remove it from the unneeded org.
