I get error 1014 when trying to CNAME a subdomain to my Cavana site

Hi there trying to use a CNAME to point one of my subdomains i manage through Cloudflare to one of my Cavana sites and i get a 1014 Error from Cloudflare CNAME Cross-User Banned

I have a free account and cannot contact Cloudflare support, is there anything i can do to fix this?

Have you checked out the troubleshooting guide which covers this error code?

the solution listed there is unsatisfactory.

Hi there @jesse9 ,

Thanks for reaching out to the Cloudflare community, sorry to read that you’re experiencing difficulties.

In simpler terms, a 1014 error indicates that you are trying to point a CNAME record to a Cloudflare zone which is on a different Cloudflare account (whether you control this account or not).
To overcome this, there is an imperative need to implement Cloudflare for SaaS.

You mentioned:

Perhaps you meant “Canva”?
If so, that means you need to use their tools or reach out to their support in order for them to add a Custom Hostname on the target zone where you are trying to point your subdomain.

If on the other hand you manage whichever “Cavana” site/account you are referencing, you need to follow this procedure to add a Custom Hostname yourself:

I hope this information was useful, let us know if we can further assist you in this matter.
