I have a wordpress website. Really by accident I changed the Cloudflare plugin(s) to deactivate.
Now it’s impossible to go into my wordpress website. Safari can’t open the page. Too many redirects occurred trying to open "https://my website/wp-admin. This might occur if you open a page that is redirected to open another page, which then is redirected to open the original page.
How can I go (again) in my website to activate the plugin?
Please help me
thanks!
You don’t need a plugin but you need a valid certificate on your server which you most likely don’t have. You’d need to fix that first.
What’s the domain?
tennis-enpadelschool-nico.site
Does your server IP address end in 201?
In your DNS records but that’s the address of your webserver.
At this point it is probably best if you pause Cloudflare (Overview screen bottom right) and fix your server configuration and only un-pause Cloudflare once your site works fine on HTTPS.
this?
Your MX records that were reported by your nameservers are:
10 dc-c5f3a030fb3b.tennis-enpadelschool-nico.site 185.182.57.201 (no glue)
[These are all the MX records that I found. If there are some non common MX records at your nameservers you should see them below. ]
Not the MX record, but I presume this is your server and in that case you have aforementioned SSL issue. You need to fix that.
As I mentioned, pause Cloudflare for now and fix the server configuration.
Pause Website
Are you sure you want to pause tennis-enpadelschool-nico.site?
Pausing Cloudflare stops traffic from passing through our network, making your origin server IP address visible. Also, Cloudflare’s security and protection features become disabled. As an alternative, consider Development Mode to bypass caching while preserving security and protection.
I confirm
Yes, then keep it paused, fix your server configuration, and once everything is working (including HTTPS) un-pause Cloudflare via the same button.
safari can’t open the page. The error is: load cannot follow more than 20 redirections
You’ll need to wait until DNS propagates, however that’s the whole point. You need to fix your server, including SSL.
Also, make sure your encryption mode on Cloudflare is “Full strict”.
" Your site is paused
Web traffic to this website is no longer receiving performance and security benefits. Cloudflare continues to resolve the DNS. You can reactivate Cloudflare for this website at anytime."
Do I have to wait a while?
You have to wait until DNS propagates to your connection. That depends on your resolver. The site itself is already paused and connections will go directly to your server at this point.
But you don’t really need to wait as you can fix it in the meantime anyhow. Make sure your server is properly configured and shows your site on HTTPS.
you say ‘as you can fix it in the meantime’. How can I do that? Can you take it over from me?
I am afraid that is beyond the scope of the forum here. You need to talk to your host or whomever is responsible for maintaining your site.
thank you! what do you mean here: 'as you can fix it in the meantime’
Not sure about your question. What should I mean? You need to fix your server, respectively the site, that’s the whole issue. Until that is not fixed your site won’t work on Cloudflare either.
You really best talk to your host at this point.
