I changed DNS and I can't access the admin

#1

I’m desperate. Yesterday I tried to change the DNS with Cloudflare and now I can not access the administrator of my page.

At the beginning I got an error 1016, then I deleted the domain and reset the DNS in Godaddy but nothing worked.

Now if I enter my domain it appears as if it is another page.

Please I need help inmediately.

Domain: Purovintage.com

It shows that the nameservers are pointed to

ns18.domaincontrol.com
ns17.domaincontrol.com

and not your assigned Cloudflare name sservers. Those will need to be changed and allowed to propogate before things work correctly.

Dear,
How long should I wait for it to spread? I changed them according to your suggestion this morning.
Sorry but I’m very worried, this has never happened to me, and I’ve been without my active page for more than 2 days.

It’s not down, and it’s going through Cloudflare. You may want to use a more efficient Public DNS server for your computer.
https://1.1.1.1/dns/ (you can scroll down for instructions on changing your computer’s DNS servers)

I also see your server does not support HTTPS…but takes login information. Your server needs a TLS/SSL certificate to protect your login information.

I’m seeing a ZyXEL remote configuration interface. You should disable all remote configuration in your router!

After you fix that, the good news is your reaching the router of your self-hosted site and all you’ll need to do is properly setup the router.

Hi,
I followed the instructions and changed the “DNS” according to the instructions.
The rest I apologize, I am very new at this and I do not understand very well what else I must do to make my site work properly again.

Going out on a limb here. Can you triple check that your ethernet cable from your ISP’s modem goes in to the WAN port of your router. This may just be that the cables are backwards (or all on the LAN ports) and why I’m seeing the router config and things suddenly stopped working.

Ok, it didn’t work. The first thing is that I am connected via wifi.
The second thing is that my router is not “ZyXel” but “Huawei” that is, another brand of router. In this I could enter with the username and password that my internet provider showed me.
Third, I don’t know why the hell that comes out of the “zyxel” on my page, now I understand less, my God help me. What happened and what happens with my web page.?

Not seeing your screen shots. Is you domain hosted on a personal server? If so, the IP for the A record must be incorrect. because this is what I’m seeing when I go to http://purovintage.com

Hi,

My domain is hostered in Godaddy, and i tried to change the “DNS” of my domain “Purovintage.com” and that happened.

I also have another domain, that i really don’t use, is “masgananciasonline.com” in this one i changed the “DNS” a long ago, really. But it worked perfectly.

Because of that is that i can’t understand yet of what is happening…

That’s a very unique problem that I’ve never seen. I’d recommend contacting Cloudflare support because they can dig a lot deeper than the community forum.

But do keep us posted!
