I can't point Name server

After purchasing domain from Cloudfare , I have to point namr server from my previous hosting.

But I can’t do.

How can I acheive?

Greetings,

Thank you for asking.

So the domain is registered at Cloudflare Registar and you want to change the domain nameservers to some other different than which Cloudflare’s provided to you, correct?

If so, if the domain name is registered at Cloudflare Registrar, unfortunately, currently you cannot change the nameservers if you use Cloudflare as a domain registrar. Currently, Cloudflare Registrar only lets you use Cloudflare name servers. If you want to use external name servers, you’d have to transfer your domain registration to a different registrar:

6.1 in the Domain Registration Agreement states that you cannot change the nameservers:

6.1 Nameservers . Registrant agrees to use Cloudflare’s nameservers. REGISTRANT ACKNOWLEDGES AND AGREES THAT IT MAY NOT CHANGE THE NAMESERVERS ON THE REGISTRAR SERVICES, AND THAT IT MUST TRANSFER TO A THIRD PARTY REGISTRAR IF IT WISHES TO CHANGE NAMESERVERS.

Domain Registration Agreement | Cloudflare

Unfortunately, only the possible solutin which I can see from the ToS of Cloudflare Registrar and your case: Transfer out and use different domain registar.

You can certainly transfer out after 60 days as per ICANN requirements.

If so , how can I use hosting for domain?

Using DNS tab of Cloudflare dashboard, you can create DNS records and point them to your web hosting/web server. Therefrom, your Website would load and show content from where you host them currently.

Below tutorial can help you how to setup your DNS at Cloudflare dashboard for your domain name:

Otherwise, if you’re interested into hosting your website on Cloudflare, currently Cloudflare does not offer a standard and usual web hosting service like web hosting service providers such as Hostgator, GoDaddy, and similar.

However, despite this, there are few available options to host and upload files to Cloudflare.

Kindly, let me introduce you to Cloudflare products that might suit your needs, depending on which kind of type of Website and content you would like to host at Cloudflare.

The first that comes to my mind is to host our static website, we could use our existing GitHub repository connected with GitHub Pages, therefore collaborating and deploying it with the Cloudflare Pages platform.

Second, we could use a combination of Cloudflare Workers and Wrangler CLI, including the Workers KV storage to store our data.

In case we are having some photography Website, or a Website with many images, we can use Cloudflare Images to store them, therefore resizing and optimizing the delivery to the visitors per need.

Cloudflare Stream can help us with uploading and storing video materials. We can also use it to live-stream our online events.

Not that long ago, Cloudflare announced object storage called Cloudflare R2, in which we can create buckets and upload files we need as similar as we did until now storing them on a BackBlaze bucket, or any other object-storage platform.

In case you would have some database-like data with Workers, the upcoming Cloudflare D1 product would be suitable in that case.

Therefore, there are a couple of ways how we could upload our data to Cloudflare and serve it.

I believe that at least one of the above Cloudflare products could help in your specific case.
