We are getting huge traffic from specific IP address 34.101.75.16 which is owned by Google.
Any idea what can be the source application? Is it Google indexing, Lighouse or someone using GCP to send the requests?
Google offers many services, among them cloud computing. This IP address is not necessarily from an official Google service, but more likely from someone who hosts their website or app with Google Cloud. You should treat them like any other request, and block or challenge them according to your rule’s criteria.
As long as your rule has an exception for Known Bots, it won’t prevent legit Googlebot crawler from indexing your site.
