Hi Cloudflare Community, I hope this message finds you well. We are in the process of transitioning our CRM system to HubSpot. As part of this transition, we need to redirect our current support domain to our new HubSpot knowledgebase. However, when attempting to update the DNS settings, we encountered the following error: CNAME Cross-User Banned. This error is preventing us from completing the necessary redirect. Could anyone provide guidance on how to resolve this issue? Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance for your assistance!
Instead, https://support.gopowersolar.com/ 301-redirects to https://22799618.hs-sites.com/support-center/ and displays the error message “Page Not Found”.
Are you merely redirectingsupport.gopowersolar.com to Hubstput’s (sub)domain so the support site loads with the latter?
Or are you configuring your custom subdomain support.gopowersolar.com to be the Hubsport support site’s address that will be displayed to users all the time?
Those are two different things!
However, when attempting to update the DNS settings, we encountered the following error: CNAME Cross-User Banned.
This suggests you’re NOT doing a mere redirect: you’re configuring a custom domain for your Hubspot support site as outlined in Hubspot’s support article below.
Hubspot also uses Cloudflare. So to avoid conflicts, you were to set the “Proxy Status” of the CNAME record for your subdomain to DNS Only rather than Proxied. This is explained in the Cloudflare section of the Hubspot article linked below.
