HTTPS for the back-end IP

Hi there,

Please let me know how to add the back-end IP address to Cloudflare so it runs through HTTPS protocol, just as the main site.

I appreciate your help,
Erik

What’s different about the backend URL from the front end URL? If it uses a supported port and already has HTTPS, then you’ll be fine.

Thanks for the reply, sdayman!

It’s the “numbered” address and it seems that the lock is missing every time I login.

If you’re attempting something like https://12.34.56.78, then that can’t go through Cloudflare. Not even close, as it won’t even use DNS. That’s a direct request to your server.

Yep, that’s the one. :slightly_smiling_face: I’ll do some research on how to secure it with HTPPS outside of Cloudflare then.

Thanks for the info. Cheers!
