What is the issue you’re encountering

https://1.1.1.1/dns-query is down for a few hours even though service status page shows everyhing’s operational. Example URL: https://1.1.1.1/dns-query?name=cloudflare.com

What steps have you taken to resolve the issue?

I switched DNS temporary to other fallbacks, but I was expecting this issue to get resolved fairly quickly.

Just try opening https://1.1.1.1/dns-query?name=cloudflare.com and you will get 1.1.1.1 unexpectedly closed the connection or similar error.

Running curl -H 'accept: application/dns-json' "https://1.1.1.1/dns-query?name=cloudflare.com" via online curl tool returns a response, but same thing via Makedonski Telekom ISP doesn’t return anything, returns Failed to connect to 1.1.1.1 port 443 after 75014 ms: Couldn't connect to server Possible ISP issue or some firewall block from Cloudflare?

Interesting, doing curl -H 'accept: application/dns-json' "https://1.0.0.1/dns-query?name=cloudflare.com", using 1.0.0.1 it works just fine. Still investigating.

The OP’s issue seems to still be active. I’m also noticing major issues in my region with accessing websites using Cloudflare’s DNS, but nothing is reported on their end. I have a feeling there is some kind of network issue they haven’t come across yet, as these issues began around the same time as the OP’s.

Seems like the issue just got resolved, I get responses now.
