How to use Cloudflare with AWS S3 images?

I have my website hosted at an origin server. My website uses lot of images from an AWS S3 bucket. So my website references images from AWS.

How do I put Cloudflare to work with those images to improve performance?

Disclaimer:
I am new to Cloudflare, so still trying to understand how it works.

If you set up a CNAME for your S3 bucket to give it a name inside your own domain, then you should be able to have Cloudflare proxy it. Virtual hosting of buckets - Amazon Simple Storage Service
