Hi there

My Order Status, Orders & Profile maintenance pages are not showing in my Shopify theme because “account.ecofox.co.nz’s server IP address could not be found”.
How do I set up account.ecofox.co.nz correctly?
Any help or suggestions appreciated.

Add the subdomain account in your Cloudflare DNS…
https://dash.cloudflare.com/?to=/:account/:zone/dns/records

If the subdomain is on Shopify, use a CNAME to shops.shopify.com set to “DNS only” to match your other Shopify records.

You need to change the orange switch from Proxied to DNS-Only.

Good morning and thanks for your help so far. So it’s 8.20am and Shopify tells be it will be 48 hours for propagation.
Let me know if there is anything else I need to do. Thank you!

The record should be shops.myshopify.com as shown in your screenshot, not shops.shopify.com.

Thank you. I’ll wait now to see if that works. I also need to add SPF (Sender Policy Framework). What should the records be for this? Appreciate your help these issues are quite tricky for me : ) Shopify seems to require lots of records for their platform. Warwick

Ok … account.ecofox.co.nz is working now - awesome. Thanks for your help!!

Also I have noticed I have 3 SPF records. Should I remove all these and have one?

It is ideal to have one SPF record.

Which of the services do you use for sending emails?

No. 1 is used for a hosted email service. Ensures that emails sent from this service are authorised.
No. 2 authorises Shopify to send emails on my behalf plus Gmail which I have a personal email account.
No.3 For to 1st Domains hosting. Authorises them to send emails from their hosting services.

So I would need 2 and 3?

Does that mean you do not use the hosted email service from number 1? I don’t know, you have to tell me which of these you actually use^^

If you use all, you need all, though they need to be combined into a single record.

Do you mean a Workspace account, or just a normal GMail? Because you don’t need SPF for normal GMail.

ok I have removed google reference and combined into one SPF record - this will cover all the services I need eg:

  1. For my hosted email service.
  2. For Shopify-related emails.
  3. For Mailchimp.
  4. For 1st Domains hosting.
