How to remove wildcard domain from Universal Certificate?

Currently Cloudflare issues a Universal Certificate for our domain as well as a wildcard domain. Is there anyway to prevent it from adding the wildcard domain to the issued certificate? We only want to have the apex domain and www subdomain.

You can control the names that appear on your certificate with the Advanced Certificate Manager addon.

We are on Full DNS setup and we only have apex domain and one www subdomain in our DNS records and they are all proxied.

According to the documentation in “Universal SSL certificates” there is no mention of wildcard domains being covered automatically.

Full DNS setup

This certificate will cover your zone apex (example.com) and all first-level subdomains (subdomain.example.com), as long as your domain or subdomains have proxied DNS records within Cloudflare DNS.
