How to migrate DNS from Godaddy to Cloudflare

Greetings,

Thank you for asking.

I believe this could be done easy, but let’s see what options have you got at GoDaddy interface.

GoDaddy should allow you to export the DNS records (zone) as follows:

Therefore, upon you add your domain name to your Cloudflare account, in one step of the process, or even later on, you would have an option to Import the Zone records - file which you’d get exported from GoDaddy interface.

To import a zone file using the dashboard:

  1. Either in the process of adding a domain or later by using Cloudflare dashboard
  2. Select your account and domain.
  3. Navigate to the DNS tab.
  4. Click on the button saying Advanced.
  5. For Import DNS records, select your formatted file.
