How to Enable CNAME Flattening for Root Domain in Cloudflare?

What is the name of the domain?

What is the issue you’re encountering

I’m trying to set up a CNAME record for my root domain to point to mojotone.com.hosting.netsuite.com, as required by NetSuite. However, I don’t see an explicit CNAME Flattening option in Cloudflare’s DNS settings. Does Cloudflare automatically flatten root CNAMEs, or do I need to configure something else? Any guidance would be appreciated!

Yes.

Hi, thanks for your response! the docs says this but i dont have these settings:

  1. Log in to the Cloudflare dashboard :up_right_arrow: and select your account and domain.
  2. Go to DNS > Settings.
  3. Turn on the option CNAME flattening for all CNAME records.

The top of the docs clearly states that CNAME flattening occurs by default for the zone apex/root (eg example.com) for all plans.

And this section of the docs begins with “For zones on PAID plans…” (emphasis mine).
