What is the name of the domain?
What is the issue you’re encountering
cannot delete an organization account under account
cannot delete an organization account under account
Are you the superadmin or that account? If you go to members https://dash.cloudflare.com/?to=/:account/members do you see the option to revoke or leave the account as a member?
Thanks for replying, but that’s not what I am referring to.
This is what I am talking about:
There are two subaccounts under my account. I think they call the subaccounts “organization”. I don’t see any button to remove or delete the unwanted one.
Yes, right now I am the only account so I am superadmin, and therefore I cannot simply leave it.
How to handle this scenario varies and does not always have a perfect solution. When a user is created, a matching account is also created. At that point in time there will only be one account available to that user.
The user can be invited into another account, at which point all the accounts a user can access will be shown. To remove accounts from the list shown to a user, the user needs to leave the corresponding account. As long as the account has another super administrator, a user can leave the account and it will no longer appear in the list.
Where things get tricky is when a user has been invited into another account and the account creator leaves the account. If you are left as the only super administrator, you won’t be able to leave the account on your own. While it may be possible to submit an account ticket to request deletion of the orphaned account, you can probably work another solution more quickly by inviting another user into the account as a super administrator.
With another super administrator in the orphaned account, you can then leave the account. I don’t know what happens if you then try to delete the new superadmin user entirely. It will probably be stuck in the situation that you find yourself in now, but you will at least have only one account shown to your original user.
I would probably just rename the orphaned account to DO NOT USE in my dashboard, but I can appreciate that approach may not satisfy all preferences.
In this case, both accounts were created by me, though I only remember creating one. Yes I could just rename it to something more explicit but being an OCD is there a way to just “get rid of it”? It’s such an eyesore.
If you made both accounts, then you already have control of two users with different emails and you invited one to access the account of the other. Sign in to each account and remove the invited member so that each email can only access its own account.
these two accounts not are “user accounts”. they are like “organization accounts”. anyway i just got a reply from Cloudflare customer service team, saying they are fully aware of this and they are developing something about it. So all good for now. thanks
