How to create a CNAME entry in DNS records

Hello, I’m trying to create a CNAME entry in DNS records. This is in regards to email authentication and DMARC. I want to ensure that my emails go through to my newsletter subscribers on KEAP and need to create the CNAME entry in order to do this.

Thanks,
Dan

This tutorial is slightly out of date, it has a link to the current docs, Community Tutorials

I like the tutorial as it’s very straight-forward to follow.

Go here to add the record, https://dash.cloudflare.com/?to=/:account/:zone/dns

Thank you for the response! What should I label the “name” and “target” sections?

The name is the subdomain you want to point, or @ if its the domain itself (e.g. @ becomes example.com)
The target is the domain that you need to point the CNAME towards.

And in the case of a DMARC entry, you likely want to set it to unproxied/DNS-only.

So I should label my “name” @fitnesspainfree.com (That’s my domain name) and the “target” should be filled out “unproxied/DNS-only” since it is for a DMARC entry? Just want to make sure I’m understanding this accurately. I have little no experience with this type of thing.

Thanks,
Dan
