My domain was deleted and I am not clear what I need to do. I purchased the domain (and several similar ones) to secure it for a new business venture. Not ready to build the website yet. From the help screen, it may not be “authenticated”, but I don’t know how to do that.
That happens if the domain’s name servers haven’t been changed to the Cloudflare name servers shown in your Dashboard, or have been detected to have “moved” away from them, then the zone will be deleted after around one week.
If you want to use Cloudflare, the steps would be to add the zone again, and then go to your domain registrar (typically the place where you paid for your domain) and change the name servers for the given domain.
I paid for the domains on Cloudflare…so assuming they would already be there?
With domain registrations made through Cloudflare Registrar, yeah.
Is there any chance you might have ended up somehow with two Cloudflare accounts somehow?
In that case, it could have been added in one account (without it’s name servers changed to match), but where the DNS and domain registration are actually held in another account, where the deletion actually happened from the former account, due to a detected mismatch?
Under manage domains it shows the 4 domains I purchased as “active” (and paid on a auto-renewal), but if I try to manage the domain in questions, the next screen gives a 404 error. I purchased the one in question and 2 others on the same day, so even if I did have another account, I wouldn’t have logged out and back in differently. I did it all in the same sitting. Easy enough to re-add, but I am paying for something I already purchased…
Other tidbit… I only purchased the domains. Literally haven’t done anything else.
Assuming if there were additional steps it would have informed me? Just wanted to make sure I had my domain name.
