my emails are with 123-reg but are regularly going into the client’s spam inbox.
123-reg have advised my combined SPF record is not set up correctly on Cloudflare and has lots of unnecessary ‘+’ synbols in the record.
These records are specific to each host so can anyone please confirm if the below SPF record looks correct:
v=spf1 +mx +a +ip4:126.96.36.199 +ip4:188.8.131.52 +a:mailex.mailcore.me -all
If not what should t he correct record be?
Cloudflare DNS will publish whatever you put in there. If you need help with how SPF works, I suggest you try Serverfault.
thanks for your help.
of course, the bit I’m struggling with is the correct formatting of the SPF record, different hosts sometimes use different formatting.
123-reg advice that this record
“v=spf1 +mx +a +ip4:184.108.40.206 +ip4:220.127.116.11 +a:mailex.mailcore.me -all”
use plus symbols which aren’t right.
But Liquidweb have advised to keep them in.
I was hoping someone from Cloudflare or with more knowledge than me could confirm the correct formatting for the record?
It would be much appreciated! @MoreHelp
The plus symbols are fine, but optional in this context as they’re implied.
