Now how long should I wait before I change my site from http to https?
I would try accessing your site manually over HTTPS, if it all works then go for it!!
You can also check the certificate status in the SSL/TLS app.

Your certificate is in place. For the site to load securely, you’ll need to address some mixed content issues. After that, flip it to Always use https on the SSL/TLS app. Lots of info on mixed content if you search for ‘mixed content tip’ on this site. On the SSL/TLS app, turn on automatic https rewrites, which may help a bit, but you’ll still need to make some manual edits.
