Hi
I just created a page rule. How long does it take to see the results?
I did this a few years ago but don’t recall.
Thank you

Welcome back!
As long as the rule pertains to a proxied hostname, the effect should be nearly indistinguishable from immediate. Note that certain rules, such as permanent redirects may effect the results you see.
e.g. If you had a rule that created a permanent redirect from www.example.com
to example.com
and later decided that you wanted to redirect www.example.com
to example.net
, you would not see the effect in a browser that had already been sent the prior permanent redirect.
If you can provide your domain name, the desired outcome of your rule, and the contents of your rule, the Community can help you diagnose further.
Actually i found my problem.
besides creating a page rule, I also needed to update the DNS to turn proxied ON and change the “content” to point to the domain name.
Whohoo!
Then I deleted it since I only have 3 page rules, and created a redirect in my platform. I am all set now. I appreciate your hoping in to help.
Regards,
Dora
While there is certainly nothing wrong with performing the redirect at your platform, you may be interested to know that there are now new ways to configure redirects without using Page Rules.
