How does CDN cache handle if we update an image?

If we use Cloudflare CDN and we update a product image but the file name stays the same, will Cloudflare CDN know to refresh the cached image file?

No. Cloudflare won’t check back on something it thinks it already has. Not until the cache header expires or it gets purged from the cache if it’s not being used (making room for more in-demand content).
