How does BlueHost's Cloudflare service work?

I purchased Cloudflare through my hosting service at BlueHost. BlueHost says they have no access to the Cloudflare service. I need help understanding how I can gain access to the Cloudflare account I’m paying for. BlueHost hasn’t been any help…they refer me to Cloudflare for answers. It’s VERY odd!

That is odd and agree not really helpful. A lot of customers that start with bluehost end up signing up directly through cloudflare, I suspect for reasons similar to what you’ve encountered.

Some of the people that visit here use bluehost, most do not and so our knowledge of their dash is somewhat limited. I did find this guide https://www.bluehost.com/help/article/cloud-flare-guide that indicates after you login at https://www.bluehost.com/my-account/login you should navigate to their speed tab to set your cloudflare configuration. You can add a site to cloudflare and begin to compare the two dashboards to determine if you want to control your account via the bluehost dashboard or the cloudflare dash.cloudflare.com. Let us know how it works out and which way you decide to go.

Thanks for your answer. Before starting this thread, I did go to my cPanel with BlueHost. Unfortunately, all BlueHost allows is to apply or remove…no config beyond that. It is such an odd thing/flaw.

+1 agree, it is.

You may want to ask bluehost if the above config doc is current as they are showing a speed tab in that doc
