I moved DNS records for a domain between my cloudflare accounts by import and export and cloudflare name servers have change but NS records are keeping name servers for previous account. I couldn’t manually edit NS records so I waited 24 hours but didn’t change automatically either. What should I do to change the NS records to new name servers?
Where is your domain registered? That is where you need to change the nameservers, unless you use Cloudflare registrar, in which case you cannot transfer directly between two Cloudflare accounts. You will need to transfer to a third-party registrar first.
I was just able to change NS record to new one after changing old NS record to new NS record in the import data with text editor and retried to import.
Registrer for domain I changed NS record this time is Namesilo. I already changed to new name servers in Namesilo. I didn’t transfer DNS records but recreate with export and import.
Anyway thank you for your advice.
That should be fine. The zone level NS records are created by Cloudflare. If you are delegating a child zone outside of Cloudflare, you will need to keep those.

Thank you so much. I don’t know if the child zone are delegated outside of Cloudflare but I will try to delete current NS records and I will see what happens.
If you are unsure, you probably do not have such a configuration. You would usually know if you used another DNS service to manage child-zone.example.com.

I could not check it with child-zone.example.com then I checked namesilo but can’t find configuration for zone and looks what namesilo do is only pointing to cloudflare name servers so think childzone is not managed outside…
It’s one of those configuration types that you would know if you were using. I didn’t mean to cause a distraction by mentioning it. I just wanted to make sure that you knew that there are some architectures that would require you keep specific NS records in the zone import. You are not using such a design.

Maybe my DNS doesn’t need NS records? I actually deleted the NS records just now and so far it doesn’t seem to cause any problems although Cloudflare’s DNS page requires me to specify name servers as NS records.
It needs them, but the ones it needs are managed by Cloudflare. You will see them in your zone export, but not in the list of names in your dashboard DNS app. They are the ones in the screenshot you shared. As long as you set them at your registrar, that’s all you need to do.

Okay. If so I think I don’t need to prepare NS records but looks NS records not automatically created for now so I created NS records by importing. I will see how it goes.
Thank you for your assistance!
