How do I set Cloudflare to Linode namerservers?

Here are the steps I have taken:

  1. Registered a custom domain on Namecheap.
  2. Input Namecheap nameservers to reference Cloudflare.
  3. Opened up a Linode account (to spin up a shared server instance).

Now I’m stuck on the next step. A Linode tutorial suggested that I have nameservers refer to linode values. When I check out Cloudflare it asks for DNS entries instead. Is it possible to input nameservers or is that not advised?

Not in this situation.

Linodes are just instances with IP addresses. Those would be “A” records in DNS. If you have that IP address, then you’re most of the way there.
