How do I know if Cloudflare is being bypassed on a specific page

What is the name of the domain?

https://www.findme.directory/account/profile

What is the error number?

No error, but software provider claims Cloudflare is block image upload

What is the error message?

No error message. The image during upload just hands…spinning circle as to indicate that the image isn’t yet uploaded.

What is the issue you’re encountering

During an upload, there are two processings. (1) Uploading the image. This is fine. (2) select the image and then click on “Confirm Logo Upload” when then simples spins. Upon refreshing the image, then the image shows.

What steps have you taken to resolve the issue?

Disabled Cloudflare. Clear cache. Tried incognito. Disabled Rules. Created a rule that bypasses the URL that requires the users to upload their logo.

Was the site working with SSL prior to adding it to Cloudflare?

Yes

What is the current SSL/TLS setting?

Full

What are the steps to reproduce the issue?

Since this is a members area, I cannot give you their credentials. Basically, upload and image, then select it to have it shown. I’m not sure how this is a Cloudflare issue, but I need to be certain if it could be so I can hold the software developers accountable to speaking the truth!

Screenshot of the error

Greetings,

Thank you for asking.

If I try to visit the particular shared URL I am presented with the default Cloudflare block page (your firewall rule being active for the reason of protection & security).

May I ask if you temporary pause Cloudflare proxy for your Website from the Cloudflare dashboard, does the error still persist?
You could determine if this behaviour continues even by using a “Pause” option at Cloudflare as follows:

  1. Use the “Pause Cloudflare on Site” option from the Overview tab for your domain at dash.cloudflare.com .
  2. The link is in the lower right corner of that page.
  3. Give it five minutes to take effect, then make sure site is working as expected with HTTPS.

May I ask if there is a way to tell us some feedback from the Developer Console (F12) for any errors if they appear in the process of uploading the image and selecting/confirming it?

Furthermore, altough in the Network tab I assume we could also see the actual request being submitted on click of that button “Confirm” with the status code being returned, or message, or a Cloudflare error as well. Would be helpful if you could gather this feedback information and write them in the reply.

Nevertheless, kindly I’d suggest you to double-check and provide us some more details about which service did it trigger and got that result if you navigate to the Cloudflare dashboard → Security → Overview and then lookup for the past 24hours or so.

Once you find them, click on a particular one to find more details about it (user-agent, IP, HTTP version …).

Could you share some details which service was triggered that blocked you?
It could be Browser Integrity Check or some other as well.

Otherwise, if it’s bypassed for this particular URL, could you share the rule here with is so we could double-check if it’s okay and if it would apply and work as you want it? (sometimes we make a mistake while writing the rule, or selecting the wrong operator like equal instead of contains, etc.)

Hi fritex, thanks for the help and pointers.

I’ve paused Cloudflare and I have a rule set up to block all countries other than the USA.

When I pressed F12, I see the following:
js?v=3.exp&libraries=places&region=US&callback=g&language=en&key=AIzaSyAuUO5mrp-k1paENLvKs4B-TUaA0dkqnKo:613 Google Maps JavaScript API has been loaded directly without loading=async. After I’ve uploaded the image and selected the image, I get the two arrows circling. See attachments. The only way to get rid of these two arrows spinning in a circle is to click on the address bar and press enter.

Thanks for your help. Much appreciated.

OK, it seems when I pause Cloudflare, I’m able to upload and submit the images, so something in Cloudflare is preventing me from uploading and submitting the images.
