How do I get my domain transferred into my account?

What is the issue you’re encountering

My web developer went broke and has disappeared. I am trying to work out how to get my domain into my account.

What steps have you taken to resolve the issue?

Tried to contact the developer but the business has closed, phones disconnected, and emails not returned.

To take control of the DNS you need to change the nameservers at your registrar to those for your Cloudflare account.

That will only give you control of the DNS, if the developer controlled the web hosting then you won’t be able to get hold of that.

I have managed to transfer it away from Go Daddy to my Synergy account so have control of the Domain and DNS. The developer won’t reply to emails so we can’t even log into the backend to backup the current installation. If we can’t get control of the existing website we are kind of stuck and will need to rebuild it.

I changed the DNS and now the site doesn’t work :frowning:
