I want to upgrade to Pro plan but i need one clarification before opting. I’m aware that your free plan don’t use all the edge locations (I checked it via /cdn-cgi/trace) I’m in India but my website delivers content from singapore. But i saw on some website they deliver content from Mubmai which is much faster. So my question is, if i get the pro plan do i get access to all the edge networks or which plan procide access to all your edge networks?
The only plan that provides guaranteed access to locations would be an Enterprise plan where you negotiate that (and gets more complex with the china network).
For any other plan, it’s more complex. Cloudflare has blogged before that when capacity is an issue, plans will be removed in the order of Free, Pro, Business. Anecdotally there’s also some locations which just are never used by free, specifically some of those India locations, Germany CF Locations when using DTAG ISP, etc.
Higher plans have some of more of those locations. There’s no guarantees though, only Enterprise even has “Network Prioritization” listed on the Cloudflare Plans Page.
There’s some community tools you could use to try to see where you get routed to: Home | Cloudflare Tools and https://debug.chaika.me/?findColo=true
(They’re just using Airport Codes to refer to specific locations, Mumbai is BOM for example, they’re all googable)
But like said above it’s never guaranteed for Pro. There’s some other factors for routing, but even if we just look at capacity/traffic manager possible Pro plans could be routed off in case of that. You can test with the tools above. It depends how important the chance of local routing is to you + the other Pro features.
